ITHACA, New York - February 16, 2006 - Gene Network Sciences (GNS) ) today announced that it has opened an office in Cambridge, Mass., at 10 Canal Park. In addition, the biosimulation company moved its Ithaca headquarters to the Cornell Business and Technology Park at 53 Brown Road.
The Cambridge office, which houses eight GNS employees, will serve as the lead site for business development and oncology modeling. The company’s finance, administration and cardiac modeling efforts remain in Ithaca.
“We see having a Cambridge office as a real selling point in our employee recruiting and retention efforts. Boston has an unmatched reputation on the East Coast as the major life sciences hub, and we look forward to becoming an active part of that community,” said Colin Hill, CEO and founder of Gene Network Sciences. “In addition, keeping our headquarters in Ithaca allows GNS to continue to benefit from the strong ties we’ve established with Cornell University and the growing Central New York biotech efforts.”
