Cardiac Simulation

Cardiac ConfidenceMetrics™ To Quantitatively Identify Pro-Arrhythmics and Risk

The GNS software platform allows data on a drug's effect at the molecular/ion channel level to be incorporated into a mechanistic simulation of cardiac electrical activity. This serves to:

  1. Identify proarrhythmic markers by quantifying a drug's effect on ion channels, on the action potential, and on wave propagation; and
  2. Generate specific, quantitative hypotheses for the mechanism of action by which a drug may alter the cardiac action potential and ECG (for example, QT prolongation).

Arrhythmia-related Cardiovascular Safety

To determine cardiovascular safety of a compound, GNS focuses on accurately assessing its proarrhythmic risk. GNS helps pharmaceutical companies identify effective indices for proarrhythmic activity of new therapeutics, and integrate available data to determine the mechanism by which a compound might contribute to the risk of arrhythmia.
